New Blog

Anyone that knows me and followed my old blog will agree that I am not good at regularly posting. I am going to try to be more mindful about it this time. So this is my new blog. It is meant to be primarily an art blog. I am working at building my portfolio back up to where it was pre-kids. Not much of my work from 10 years ago is relevant now, mostly my style has changed significantly as artists' tend to do over time. The point of re-building a portfolio is to hopefully be recognized at some point in the future. I would love to get some exposure in galleries, maybe sell a few things. Mostly I just love to see what makes it into my lens, and how it looks when my eye is no longer in the view finder. Much of this work is going up in my own house. Luke has been encouraging me for quite some time now to get back out there. I find lots of excuses... it's difficult to go shoot when you have to tag along two kids. I can't just get up and leave when the light is right. I don't have the time to devote to spending all day sitting in a field waiting for the right lighting. We don't have the money for me to travel to what I really want to shoot. I need a new flash. I need a remote. Blah blah blah. So no more excuses. Please ask me what's new if I haven't posted for a while. I need someone to remind me or the images will sit on my camera! Sit back and enjoy my view.
